Bli Kacrut

2008 is finished and we hope that 2009 will be a better year.  Although we had an international surfing event in Bali last year Bli Kacrut hopes there will be more international events, not only in Bali but in other parts of Indonesia as well, this year.

Bli Kacrut hopes that the Indonesian surfing judges will organize their schedules in coordination with contest organizers so that there won’t be clashes like in 2008. Surfers active in contests hope that the prize money will be increased this year so that grommets are more motivated to enter contests. It would also be good if there were some new sponsors outside of the surfing industry like there were for the Asian Beach Games last year.

As we know  Indonesia won two gold medals in the surfing events at the Asian Beach Games. As a result of this Bli Kacrut hopes that the government will pay more attention to surfing because surfing is a sport with a lot of potential. Many tourists come to Indonesia to surf  which adds to our foreign exchange earnings. Indonesian surfers are also very competitive now and win both national and international events. Bli Kacrut hopes that Indonesian surfers will have more enthusiasm, stronger mental attitude, skill and luck than last year in order to be more competitive in 2009.

He hopes the local surf industry will be more creative , diligent and courageous in order to be competitive with overseas brands and be involved in surfing events in Indonesia.
