Tell us about the first time you went surfing
When I was 11 I tried a body board with my brother and friends in front of Bangsal Kuta. I wanted to try with a surfboard because it was cooler.

Who gave you the most input for your surfing?
When I was small I would just try by myself, but now I get a lot of input from Ketut Menda  (thanx boz!!) and also my friends from Hawaii……I also watch a lot of surfing movies.

Who gave you your first board?
My father bought it for me, it was a Slickman Billabong 6’8

 Where do you usually surf?
Anywhere, as long as the waves are good I’ll surf there. Often in front of Pro Surf as I am an instructor there.

What is your favourite spot?
Kuta Reef and  Maharani

Where do you work now?
I am an instructor at Pro Surf School

Your most impressive trip?
My last trip to Desert Point with the Hawaiian boys.

Your most amazing surfing experience?
I was surfing big waves with Jimmy O’Brian, and got a big wave with a really long barrel, when I came out everyone was looking and screaming like I had won a contest. I was laughing so much…… Hahahahaha, so amazing!

Your worst experience?
I was surfing at Tunggak Sabe, Jimbaran, and the waves were big. When I took a set I fell and my legrope broke. The current was everywhere and I had to wait till it let me get my board. When I got my board it was broken into 3 pieces. I was so upset because that board was my darling….but it didn’t make me want to stop surfing.
