SURFING IS MORE RESPECTFUL IN PADANG..IF YOU’RE TOO SEXY YOU’LL BE IN TROUBLE…

This sweet girl fromPadang gets two thumbs up, she took a risk and moved to Bali for one word “Surfing”!!!  Yurike came to MW office and told us her story.

She started studying English at the state university in Padang but since she moved to Bali she is now at Warmadewa University…even though she’s at university she doesn’t want to work in any area except surfing…her ambition is to become a pro surfer, and if she has to work in an office she wants it to be in the surf industry…haha…

She has been surfing since she was in year 11…her friends in Padang ( Uli & Tara) helped Yurike rip the waves at Airmanis beach…and finally she fell in love with surfing…she also skates and was a model when she was in junior high school, but she didn’t like it much…!

Yurike mostly surfs at Halfway and Padma, even though it’s always busy and she has to share the waves with lots of people, she doesn’t mind. MW was confused and wondering (if Yurike surfs in her clothes because she has white skin, not dark like most surfers…hahaha) … Yurike said she’s of Chinese descent… so that’s why even if she gets sunburned her skin is white again later…”I think dark skin is cool, it’s pretty” she said, smiling.

Yurike’s bad habit is that she is a picky eater…but her friends tease her and say “you’re a picky eater but you’re still fat”..hehe.. Talking about guys, she doesn’t only like surfers…the important thing is for the guy to care for her and her mother… :)

At the moment Yurike’s goal is to improve her surfing and next year she will graduate from university . In 2012 she would like to get married on 12/12/2012 at 1200…that is her ambition…she hasn’t found the groom yet…hahaha…

Last word…Yurike wants people to care for the beach more…”I’m so sick of people throwing rubbish on the beach!!... when I was surfing in Padang while I was paddling instant noodle packets got stuck on my arm…so annoying!!” so..keep the beach clean dude!!
