Rory Parker,"Tattoo for my friend"

Tattoos aren’t just body art but they also have special meaning for the people who have them and many people have tattoos dedicated to their loved ones. There are many different tattoo designs such as realistic photos, names or a picture that has meaning for the person.

Rory Parker is a surfer from Hawaii who has 15 tattoos so far. He did his own first tattoo by writing his name on his arm when he was 7 years old and tattoo after tattoo followed.

The world of surfing is known for tightly knit friendships because surfers often get together to surf, take trips and look for waves. Rory has many close surfing friends and  they have designed a tattoo that they all have to mark their friendship. They are Rory Parker, Bobby Martinez, Mikala Jones, Tory, James Starling, and Peter Labrador.

About 5 years ago Rory lost his good friend Jason Nalu Bogle, also a surfer. Rory has Jason’s name tattooed on his chest. The tattoo was done with ashes from Jason’s body mixed in with the tattoo ink which makes Rory feel as though Jason is still with him. The tattoo was done by one of the Miami Ink tattoo artists. Rory has tattoos done by three Miami Ink tattooists, Tim Hendrix, Chris Garver and Amy James.
